ALL DIMENSIONS ARE APPROXIMATE
The
model number of each SCULPTOR HD foamcutter is determined by the
horizontal travel, vertical travel, and hotwire length, in that order.
Actual measurements are about 6" more. For example: a SCULPTOR HD 458
foamcutter has 4' 6" horizontal travel, 5' 6" vertical travel,
and a hotwire length of 8' 6".
The
SCULPTOR HD foamcutters with 4' 6" of vertical travel (Model 448 or
848) can cut two stacked blocks at the same time, but each block must not
be more than 26" tall. If the blocks you purchase are taller, you
will need to order a foamcutter with 5' 6" vertical travel (Model 458
or 858), which can handle 2 blocks up to 32" tall each. Double Decker
Supports are needed to support the upper block (see options below).

option increases to 10 the number of hotwires that the foamcutter can cut

MULTI-WIRE BARS

Each foamcutting machine is supplied
with two 24" multi-wire bars as standard equipment. These bars are
used to support the extra wires when cutting with more than one hotwire.
They work well for most jobs. Longer and shorter multi-wire bars are also available as options.
Longer bars are
necessary when stacking two blocks to be cut at the same time. Sometimes
the size of the shape to be cut makes a different length multi-wire bar
desirable. They are available in 6" steps from 12" long to
48" long. |

DOUBLE DECKER SUPPORTS

These are used to stack
one block on top of another so the foamcutter can cut 2 blocks at the same
time. They are adjustable to suit the height of the foam blocks. On
the foamcutters with 8' of horizontal travel, you will need two sets in
order to mount 4 blocks for cutting. |
