American Hotwire Machines: Cut Foam Uses
SCULPTOR Hotwire Foam Cutting Machines are used to cut EPS and other foams
into specific shapes for use in a multitude of applications.
Construction:
Today we see more and more new homes and buildings that are being insulated and decorated with shapes cut from foam. Foam has been a staple in the construction industry for over a quarter century and is cut into sheets for EFIS (exterior finish insulation system) covered buildings and for the SIP's (structural insulated panels) industry, and cut or molded into blocks for the ICF (insulated concrete form) building system. Hundreds of different architectural shapes like moldings, trims, bands, cornices, sills, balusters and columns are easily cut on the SCULTOR to supply this large industry.
Packaging:
Foam is one of the best and least expensive packaging materials used to protect products. Packaging customers often need large numbers of the same shape, and the SCULPTOR's ability to cut in up to 4 blocks at the same time means that all jobs are completed in the shortest time.
Signs, Displays, Props, Models, Molds:
These are some of the other uses for shapes cut from foam. The SCULPTOR's 4 axis capability is useful in these fields because this feature lets the machine cut true 3-D shapes like tapered lettering for signs. Molds are easily made from foam for cutomers who cast concrete and other materials into architectural shapes.
